Preferences:

  1. Diploma degree or higher

  2. Min. 5 year experience in mechanical inspection

  3. NDE qualified inspector preferred

  4. Understanding of Nuclear Quality Control is preferred

  5. Mid-level of understanding of written English

  6. Demonstrated skill, training, knowledge and experience related to mechanical inspection, including the operation of the following gauges:

a. OD/ID Micrometers

b. Depth Micrometers

c. Vernier Calipers

d. Radius Gauges

e. Machinist Scales

f. Tape Measure

g. Thread Gauges

h. Comparators

i. Hardness Testing Equipment

j. Use of Magnet

k. Digital Measurement Devices

l. 3D CMM or FAROARM

  1. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and AUTOCAD

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  1. Meet the Organizational Goals & Objectives, i.e, Booking, Sales, Safety, COPQ

  2. Accurate interpretation of customer QC requirements and parts drawings to come up with inspection plan during order entry stage – no loss of profit and no failure of On Time performance direct caused by incorrect inspection: Variance less than 2%

  3. Ensure all inspection activities fully recorded and documented as per Quality Program – zero major non-compliance finding thru internal/external audit as well as management review

  4. COQ inc. rework or repair due to QC error – no higher than % COPQ goal.

  5. Zero accident in QC activities

  6. QC workplace 6S level to be B or higher

  7. Manage daily inspection status to be provided to QA supervisor in timely manner.

  8. Inspection on-time performance of 95% or higher, including receiving

Position Requirements:

  1. Monitor work areas with safely-conscious attitude,

  2. Perform a wide variety of Level 2 mechanical inspections at KNSC and its supplier’s location as required

  3. Perform ASNT Level 2 non-destructive examinations at KNSC and its supplier’s location as required

  4. Responsible for dedication and upgrade Items and materials to meet nuclear quality requirements

  5. Conduct and/or administrate gauge calibration

  6. Conduct source inspection

  7. Complete documents such as NCR's and Inspection Reports

  8. Participate in Daily Accountability Meetings and report on inspection

  9. Reports directly to the Facility Quality Supervisor

  10. Supervise or maintain surveillance over Level I Inspectors.

  11. Evaluate inspection results to determine acceptability and sign-off documentation.

  12. Evaluate and certify Inspectors to Level I and Level II
